New website!

I'm very pleased to announce the launch of my new website! It is the same address as before but has now many more features.

The main purpose is that you can now browse and buy all my available paintings online. Simply click here to be directed to the painting gallery and choose the section of your choice.

All paintings can be shipped worldwide.

There is now also a shop page that showcases all my products. You can view and purchase my calendars, postcards, mini prints and browse through my selection of limited edition prints. Click here to access the shop. Again, all these can be shipped worldwide (apart from giclée prints which needs to be collected locally). I'll dispatch everything within 2 days but if you live outside UK, order soon to make sure it will arrive in time for Christmas.

There is also a section about the painting commission work I do. Over the last few years I have been painting people's houses, favourite places, room, garden, children, allotment, ... and it is such a wonderful thing to be able to make people happy with my paintings and give them a souvenir that will last forever. See examples below and click here to view the commission section of my website for more details.

And for those who are on Facebook, just a reminder that I have a Facebook page where you can follow my painting adventures and latest news. Click here to go to the page.

If you wish to see my work "in the flesh", you are always welcome to visit my studio in Bath. Just send me an email at to arrange a time.

Capturing the autumn colours in Bath

Yeah! It feels so good to be back painting in plein air! Because I was busy with wedding planning and studio commissions over the summer, my last painting session outside was back in June and I've really missed it! I went out last Saturday afternoon and it was a glorious sunny autumn day - all the beautiful colours were out on display. Only a few hours earlier I was dressed as a scary voodoo doll for my daughter Louisa's first Halloween party. I got the time to quickly change but I think I still had some of my scary make up on while painting!

Here is below the result. It is the view of Bath from a park near where I live. I kept it fresh and loose and had great fun with the paint.

Here is below the painting towards the end after adding the view details and the gate:

Once the painting finished, I turned around and saw a beautiful light effect in the trees. I just had time for a quick study of it so I worked on a small format and aimed for the essence of it:
